Funerals in the Black church are more than ceremonies of mourning; they are powerful celebrations of life, faith, and community legacy. For interpreters, these services require not only linguistic accuracy but also a deep understanding of Black church traditions, emotional tone, and spiritual expression.
This webinar explores how interpreters can honor sacred space, navigate dynamic preaching styles, and maintain emotional balance while conveying messages of comfort and hope.
Through real-life examples, ethical discussion, and cultural insight, participants will leave better prepared to serve with excellence and respect during life’s most sensitive moments.
